Kerry Pastine spent twenty years building a world in sound, a rock and roll voice that slashed, rhythms that shuffled, stages that she owned. Nine years ago she added a new weapon to her holster: the paintbrush.

The transition was not gentle. The canvas demanded everything. The painting studio delivered the same truth as the recording studio. What emerged are paintings that carry the same energy as a great live set. That same hint of danger, that same insistence on being felt.

She calls the aesthetic Retromodernism. The mid-century modern elements of noir shadows, saturated blocks, bold geometry, filtered through a contemporary lens. Art that remembers the past and refuses to live there.
